What You'll Learn

Beginner-Experienced Students

Hand-Building

Hand building students might build a plate, bowl, mug or vase using slabs, molds, pinching coils and extrusions. We will modify surfaces using lace, stamps. found objects, carving, sgraffito and stencils. Experienced hand building students can still enroll at their preferred time and day, regardless of whether or not the class is a beginning course. They will be giving guidance to develop their skills and techniques in hand building methods.

Advanced Students

Hand-Building

Advanced Hand Building and Sculpture students needed to have completed at least one, 6-week hand building class prior to their class. Students will be challenged to create self-portraits, sculptures of animals, build lamps or water fountains. The possibilities are endless and lead by student interests and ideas.

FAQs

Students should be 16 or older. We keep classes cozy — at least 4 and no more than 10 people — so everyone gets time for 1 on 1 instruction.
